The development of the LC connector

The LC connector is probably the most popular connector in the era of fiber optics. For over a decade now, the LC has been on the market and since then has spawned countless advancements and variants.

After the development of a uniboot package for duplex connectors, it was also optimized for high packing densities and transceiver applications. In the process, it is finding its way into a wide variety of cabling solutions with suitable transmission standards. From multimode 10Gbit Ethernet transmission to 800Gbit transmissions, the LC connector is a universal genius and will continue to be justified despite new connector generations.

The latest developments help to further improve handling during installation and maintenance at high packing densities. For example, the connectors can be locked and unlocked via the bend protection.
