Getting ready for the future of data transmission beyond 400 GBit/s

Whether colocation data center operators or operators and users of their own data centers, everyone must be prepared for the fact that the bandwidth currently available in their data centers will no longer be sufficient in the future. To ensure that infrastructures can withstand the current and future challenges of high-speed data transmission, data center operators need future-proof and investment-proof migration paths for 400G and beyond.

But how do the transmission paths have to be designed? Which cabling structure do I choose, and how can I meet the need for ever-higher packing density? How this challenge can be mastered, for example, with the new generation of “Very Small Form Factor” (VSFF) connectors, is illustrated by our cabling systems for 400 Gigabit Ethernet.

But there are two sides to the coin.
